NJL Matches 20th January 2024
The team started off strong with Beau and Lucca taking the first two games. It was a match filled with close calls and four rounds went to the fifth. Marco fought well and took the third game to a five setter, only just missing out against his tricky opponent. Sadly, this wasn’t their match and CGS came out on top with a 6-3 win. Well done to our boys for a close fought match overall.
Ashford B proved to be a formidable opponent, pushing the boys to work hard. Dan showcased his skills in a challenging 5-setter, consistently earning high points. Marco faced close games, maintaining a positive attitude. Beau secured 2 wins and narrowly missed victory in a five-setter. Kudos to the team for their good energy and teamwork!
Lucca, Dan and Beau played really well in their last match of the day and secured 4 games. Close match overall decided by the final two games where Lucca and Beau were playing simultaneously on different tables. It was a nail biting and exciting end to the day.
